Yorkshire Terrier or “Yorkie” is a classified as a toy breed, but don’t let it size fool you. This dog is a very spirited, brave, determined, investigative and demanding little ball of energy.
The breed is known to be difficult to house train and can be stubborn in general training
Their magnificent silky coats make them popular as show dogs.
The Yorkie can be snappy towards rough children and aggressive towards other small animals if not socialised early on, but some live quite peacefully with other dogs and even cats if they grow up together.
The smallest Yorkie on record stood only 6.3cm high and weighed 113g.
